Sean,

Two words - God's Timing. You are in His Hands. He knows where and when, and when it's time He willl make it happen. Joseph had to wait, so did Moses. In God's Soverenty, what makes you any different? I've been a choir director. I can be again and yet may never be again. I leave those kinds of things in His Hands and do what I do according to His Leading. Don't be in a hurry. You're still young. Moses wasn't and he waited.

In His Love and Service,

Jeff

Hello and happy new year!!

I have to agree with you that new technologies in communication are making the evangelistic task more accessible and people are being reached thru the internet like never before.

It is such a blessing... but with it comes a greater responsibility.

We are living in a post-modern culture where everything is acceptable and there are not absolutes and the evangelistic message has kind of adapted to it: we preach Jesus as a "life enhancement product" instead of a "life-saver".

We are afraid of warning the unsaved about the righteousness and judgement of God, with the consequence of eternal damnation in Hell. We changed the gospel presentation of the new testament for a "Your best life" and "God has a wonderful plan"... by doing that, we create what the Bible warns about: False Converts.

The above ideas I explain more in my blog, which I humbly invite you to read, hoping and praying you will be encouraged and will look at evangelism as our privilege and honor BUT always doing it Biblically.

Thanks for reading and God bless.

Oh please Sean, all the fuss in the news about nothing. It is a collector's doll, most stores will properly just carry one or two on the shelve, at $40 each they are not exactly going to fly off the shelves.

Hi Sean,
It definitely is easy to be paralysed by the overwhelming injustice in our world. I want to encourage you to check out Gary Haugen's newest book, Just Courage, which addresses this state of paralysis, fear and other things that overwhelms us Christians.
You are spot on. When people and churches start labeling one another, we objectify one another, which give us permission to say harsh things about one another. No longer do we see Christ in one another, no longer are be brothers and sisters in Christ, but us against them.

I am so knocked out that you and I came to the same conclusion about the Church, although our locations are so very different. As long as we set ourselves to govern our lives in terms of winners and losers, we have undermined that prayer of Jesus that we all may be one. There has to be another way.

Hang in with Hebrew!

With admiration and affection,

Elizabeth
